There is NO counter located in the Arrival Terminals. ALL FASTBREAK CUSTOMERS must take the Air Train to Terminal C. The Budget counter is approx 50 yds. Proceed to the Budget counter Fastbreak line/or normal line if no Fastbreak line designation/or follow directions to the Fastbreak Kiosk.

VEHICLES: Located at the Car Rental Facility.
DRIVERS CIRCLE
There is NO counter located in the Arrival Terminals. ALL DRIVERS CIRCLE CUSTOMERS must take the Air Train to Terminal C. The Budget counter is approx 50 yds. The manager or key person will have your contract ready and personally escort you to your vehicle.
Valet Return: If offered, you will be told about our service as you are escorted to your car.
After-hours Returns
The Budget return area is closed from 11:30 pm to 5:30am. For After-hours returns as a courtesy, Budget customers returning after that time can return their vehicle to the Avis facility at 305 Federal Circle, Jamaica, N.Y. 11430. Customers are scanned in at the gate then drive in, leave the keys in the car with the doors unlocked. Remember to take your personal belongings with you. Once the vehicle is checked in an e-receipt will be sent.

Both JFK and Newark (EWR) are major airports for New York City. The best airport to fly to depends on your airport preferences. For example, JFK is a considerably larger airport, so you’ll get more flight options and amenities. That also means JFK will generally be more crowded than EWR. 

No, you can follow signs for the JFK airport from any major interstate or expressway. However, traffic is notoriously bad around JFK, especially during peak hours, so plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to take care of tasks like dropping off a rental car, checking your luggage, and getting through security.

We recommend arriving at JFK at least two hours before your scheduled domestic departure and giving yourself extra time if you drive during peak traffic. Allow three hours for international travel. You can also find real-time security and customs wait times on the airport’s official website to help you plan ahead.

Yes, JFK is open 24 hours. However, TSA, baggage drop, airline check-ins, and amenity hours of operation vary daily, depending on when flights arrive and depart. You can sleep at JFK by booking a room at the TWA hotel or using one of the sleep pods in Terminal 5. 

New York LaGuardia (LGA) is the closest airport to Manhattan. However, JFK and EWR are also within driving distance of the downtown Manhattan area. EWR is about 16 miles away, and JFK is about 19 miles away. Fortunately, it’s easy to reach Manhattan with a Budget car rental no matter which airport you fly into. 

It takes about 2 hours to drive to the Hamptons, but the drive can be shorter or longer depending on whether you’re traveling during rush hour or not. The drive is pretty straightforward, with the majority on Southern State Parkway and NY-27 E.

JFK’s rental car area is at Federal Circle. The best way to reach the JFK Rental Car Center after your flight is to take the AirTrain from any terminal. If you’re dropping off a vehicle before your flight, you can follow the signs for rental cars when approaching the airport and then take the AirTrain to your terminal after dropping off your vehicle.
