If flying in, the rental counter is within the terminal with a short walk to the car lot.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Customer is liable for the full value of the Budget vehicle if CDW is not purchased. If CDW is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from ISK 250,000 to ISK 400,000, depending on the car group rented.
Theft Protection (TP) is optional
Customer is liable for the full value of the Budget vehicle if TP is not purchased. If TP is purchased, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from ISK 250,000 to ISK 400,000, depending on the car group rented.

A major credit card in the name of the primary driver must be produced at the time of rental. This location accepts Budget Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Eurocards, Mastercard, Bank America, Access, Visa
Debit cards are not accepted.
All drivers must have held their license for at least one year before the start of the rental except when renting our large SUVs and Luxury cars. Then the driver must have held a license for at least three years before the start of the rental.
The rental of larger vehicles which require advance licenses necessitates the drive to present the appropriate valid license (9-15 seater minibuses).
Drivers must bring an international driving license or an official translation if:
the driving license was issued in a non-roman alphabet like Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Russian, Hebrew or Japanese or other similar non-roman alphabet based languages.
The driving license was issued outside of Europe or North America.
Additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the primary driver. Additional Driver fees may apply for all additional drivers. Check at the time of rental for complete details.

Younger drivers may drive by paying a young driver fee of ISK 1000 per day.
This applies in case of:
-passenger cars for drivers that are 18-19 years old

Young Driver surcharge is ISK 1.000,- (incl. tax) pr. day.
