Third-Party Liability
Protection Option for Non-US Resident Inbound Travelers are provided Third Party Liability Protection (“TPL”) up to a combined single limit of $300,000, which will be denoted on the rental agreement.
When “TPL” appears on the Rental Agreement, it means the inbound rental rate includes “TPL” coverage up to $300,000 per single occurrence, regardless of the U.S. state where the rental occurs unless a higher limit is specifically listed on the agreement. “TPL” covers third-party bodily injury, death, and property damage claims up to $300,000 combined single limit. “TPL” is not available to residents of the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico, even if denoted or displayed on the Rental Agreement for eligible renters. Travelers who have “TPL” as part of their rental are not eligible to purchase Additional Liability Insurance (“ALI”).
