Purchase of LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) is optional. Purchase relieves the customers financial responsibility to the vehicle. Budget in this country accepts Budget Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard, Visa. An additional charge card hold of 5,000.00 USD, if LDW is declined. Note: Credit cards without raised numbers are not accepted.
Debit cards are NOT accepted.
Exception: Debit cards issued by local banks in Panama are accepted at the following locations with a pin number- Panama City (PTY, PT1, PT3),David (DV1).

A valid drivers license from the country of residence must be presented in pers at the time of rental. The renters license is accepted for 90 days without additional requirements. After 90 days the renter will need to obtain a national license. An International Driving License is requiared for countries with a non-Roman alphabet. Check at the counter for additional details.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI / PEC / PAE) - is optional and provides the benefits below:

Personal Accident Insurance provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and passengers in the Budget car.
Customer may inquire for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance at the time of rental.

of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer
before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Cars can be returned to other Budget locations within the same cities. One-way rentals are subject to availability and one-way fees may apply. Vehicles are not available for one way rentals outside this country. Cars are not allowed outside of the country.
