Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is optional
Customer is liable for an amount between EUR 19,040.00 and EUR 83,300.00 if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken.  Purchase of CDW reduces liability to an amount between EUR 119.00 and EUR 3570.00.

Theft Protection (TP) is optional
Customer is liable for an amount between EUR 19,040.00 and EUR 83,300.00 if Theft Protection (TP) is not taken.  Purchase of TP reduces liability to an amount between EUR 119.00 and EUR 3570.00.

Note: If you have (CDW - collision damage waiver) and the vehicle, keys, any liability reduction in case of a damage
accessories or any vehicle documents are damaged and you are responsible for the damage, the amount you have
to pay for the damage will be reduced to no more than the excess stated on your rental agreement meaning you will
pay for the cost of repair or replacement plus a damage or theft processing fee in the amount of EUR 30 or the excess, whichever is less.

At the time of the rental, you must provide Budget with a valid credit card from a major credit card company. The credit card holder details must be the same with the renter's details.
You can pay the value of the rental using a credit card (Visa, Euro-MasterCard, American Express), a debit card (Visa and Mastercard) or a Budget Charge Card.
Budget does not accept debit cards such as MasterCard Maestro, Indigo, Kyriel, Cyrus, nor pre-paid cards.If you want to rent a premium car, P car group, you must present two different credit cards, one of which must be either American Express.
Please note that, at the time of the rental, the credit card that you provide must have sufficient funds available to cover the estimated costs of the rental, as well as the costs of the optional insurance (accident or theft), plus the equivalent of a full tank of fuel.

Debit cards are not accepted.

Each driver must show photographic proof of identity and their passport at the start of the rental.
All drivers must present a full and current driving licence which has been held for at least 1 year. The licence must be valid for use in the renting country.
If your licence was issued outside the European Community an International Driving Licence is required.
All forms of documentation must be issued to the same person, in the same name, and presented together at the time of rental.

Zero liability in case of damage to the car windshield (LI)
By accepting this additional protection service you will not be liable for any damage caused to the windshield (scratches, chipping, and breaking). The price for this protection option is between 4 and 7 Eur/day

covers drivers in case of damage, including damage to passengers and their property, when using a Budget vehicle.
Third party liability is included in the rental price.

Minimum age is 21 for car groups A, B, C and J and 25 for all other car groups. Younger drivers are allowed for some car groups with an extra fee:

Young driver surcharge
If the renter and/or the additional driver is/are between 21 and 25 years he/she can rent a type A, B or J car, with an additional fee of EUR 7 per day / maximum EUR 70 per rental.
Driver under 21 surcharge
If the renter and/or the additional driver is/are between 18 and 21 years of age and a driver's licence issued more than one year prior to the rental, he/she can rent a type A or B car, but an additional fee will be charged as follows: EUR 45.00 (VAT included) for each rental day.
Beginner driver surcharge
If the renter and/or additional driver hold(s) a driver's licence which was issued less than one year prior to the rental date, he/she can rent a category A or B car. An additional fee shall be charged as follows: EUR 45.00 (VAT included) for each day of rental.

Senior driver surcharge If the renter is above 70 years old a fee of EUR 7 per day / maximum EUR 70 per rental will apply.

Outside Romania, only categories A – E, I , J, the car can be returned in the following countries*:
Area 1 (Bulgaria, Hungary): EUR 600.00 (VAT included)
Area 2 (Austria, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland and Slovakia): EUR 1,100.00 (VAT included)
Area 3 (Germany, Slovenia): EUR 1,680.00 (VAT included)
Area 4 (Italy, Belgium, France, Luxemburg and the Netherlands):
EUR 2,500.00 (VAT included)
* Only the continental areas. It is not allowed to take the car to the islands.
In all these cases, it is necessary to make a reservation request. The request will be either confirmed or denied within no more than 72 hours, depending on the availability of the car you requested.
A border crossing surcharge will also apply. This charge ranges from EUR 30 to EUR 300 (VAT included)/rental.
For all the other car groups: the cars cannot be returned at an office outside Romanian borders.

Driving to any other countries or islands with any car rented from Romania is strictly forbidden. Neglecting this, the customer will be responsible for all damages of the rented vehicle. In case of loss of the vehicle the renter is also fully liable.
