Budget makes it easier than ever to rent a car because the rate we quote you for the car class, options, taxes and surcharges on budget.com is the rate youll be charged either at the return counter or on your final receipt.

How it works:
- If you're charged more for your rental than what you were quoted for the car class on your original reservation confirmation, you could be eligible for reimbursement equal to the amount of the difference between the two rates.
- To qualify for this program, your original reservation must have been made on budget.com.
- This Rate Promise applies only to the rental information tied directly to the original reservation. Your final Rental Agreement data must identically-match the original reservations rental location, dates and times, car class and options selections.
- Your guaranteed rate is defined as the dollar amount of the rental, which includes length of rental, taxes, fees, surcharges and any options you selected online and saved to our reservation system. It does not include mileage charges, fuel, other products or additional equipment chosen at the time of rental.
- This Rate Promise may not apply to drivers under age 25, because some locations will allow under-25 drivers to rent for an additional daily charge, which is not included in your online rate.
- A reimbursement will be issued when you meet the Rate Promise criteria, and when the rate charged on the final rental agreement is greater than the rate locked in on the budget.com reservation confirmation.
- An online claim must be submitted within seven (7) business days (Monday through Friday) after the vehicle is returned to the rental facility.
- Budget will reply to all claims via e-mail, whether your request is approved or denied.
- If approved, a reimbursement will be issued to the same credit card used at time of rental. Reimbursements will be processed within 10 business days from our receipt of claims.
- In the unlikely event that your final rate is higher than your quoted rate, just complete our online registration form to request a Rate Promise reimbursement.
