Recent research shows that “ability to choose” is the top rated desire among car renters*. Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. today launched “Freedom of Choice,” a promotion that provides customers with a choice of vehicles within their reserved car class at the time of rental, rather than the customer service representative assigning the car to them. For example, customers who rent a compact car and ask for “Freedom of Choice” at the counter will be given the choice of a Ford Focus or another quality compact car in the Budget fleet. Customers renting a full-size vehicle will be given the choice of a Ford Taurus or another vehicle with similar passenger and luggage capacity. Customers will be encouraged to select the one that complements their style.
Beyond offering customers “Freedom of Choice,” Budget also has launched great deals on airport rentals. Now through December 15, 2004 customers can rent a compact car (Ford Focus or similar) for $23 a weekend day or $149 a week. Customers must mention Rate Code MG for the weekend day rate or Rate Code MH for the weekly rental rate. Rates are valid for pickup through December 15, 2004 at participating Budget airport locations and are subject to availability. Blackout dates apply.
