Renters Receive Special Subscription Offer and More

Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel magazine and Budget Rent A Car System, Inc. today announced an exclusive partnership to offer readers and renters a way to “Travel Large for Less.”
Beginning with the June issue, Budget Travel will include a monthly print series sponsored by Budget Rent A Car, featuring an interesting U.S. city and how to make the most of it on a budget. The piece will provide readers with ideas on how to “get to” and “around” this destination inexpensively and will point out sights to see, places to eat, routes to drive and a host of other tips. A list of upcoming events in the city will be included as well. For example, in San Francisco, the June destination, readers can learn about free walking tours and Sunday concerts, great inexpensive dining options in North Beach, the Mission District and the Embarcadero, details about the Chinatown Night Market Fair or the Union Street Festival and where to stop when driving up to Napa Valley for a day trip.
In addition, Budget locations in and around the San Francisco area will display the print spread at the rental counter as well as a special subscription offer for Budget Travel. The tips will also be included in a brochure and will be made available at the counter in each highlighted city so that travelers have the “insider’s guide” at their fingertips.

The series will run through 2004 and an online banner campaign will be posted on BudgetTravel.MSNBC.com. Travelers reserving a car on budget.com will also receive a special subscription offer to Budget Travel on the reservation confirmation page.
